Laver is a listed mining village, 1936–1946 there was a copper mine here and a village grew around it.
It was referred to as “Sweden’s most up-to-date society” of its time.
The area provides interesting information about mining history and is also a nice destination for an excursion with information boards and remains from the mining commynity.
The Laver mine is located about 50 km west of Älvsbyn and 10 km north of Nattberg after road 94.
