Mikael Blomberg is a young actor who uses theatre to raise awareness about mental health. In the one-man show An Angel by My Side, based on the book A Man Called Ove, he portrays the story of a man who has lost his life partner and is considering taking his own life.
Through his own background with depression and suicidal thoughts, Mikael wants to show the importance of daring to talk about one’s wellbeing. The performance conveys emotions that can be difficult to express verbally – but through theatre they find an artistic outlet.
