Welcome to a new play by Adde Malmberg that takes you on a journey filled with humor, emotions, and unexpected twists. At the heart of the story is Margareta, a woman whose life and home are put at risk when a new road is planned to be built—right across her property.
Margareta has spent forty years in her beloved home, a house that she and her partner renovated from scratch with their own hands. Now, the municipality has decided to demolish the ten houses on her street to prevent through traffic in the city center.
When Maja and Tom, representatives from the Swedish Transport Administration and the municipality, face the difficult task of informing Margareta of the inevitable, a surprise awaits. For nothing goes as planned when they meet her in person.
This comedy with depth will make you laugh out loud and reflect. It’s a story that challenges the notion of truth and fantasy, where boundaries blur, and the truth is anything but simple. Margareta, a charming retired teacher, shows that behind friendly smiles, there can be a strength and stubbornness that surprises us all. The question is, who’s really fooling who? Tell it like it is, or do we really?
